Wow, been hard keeping up with the blog this year! I obviously can not even begin to scratch the surface for the months I have been gone, so I will just add some things here and there! It is freezing here so I thought I would start with some place warm and tropical, Jamaica!!! We stayed at the Sandals Resort in Montego Bay, it is the first Sandals ever built. The staff and accomodations were amazing, we would love to go back someday! The water and beach were absolutely beautiful, you just can't believe the water is that blue until you see it!

Our patio and room, all rooms had a jacuzzi tub and were stocked daily with a mini bar.

There were several fancy restaurants with gourmet food as well as pubs were you could enjoy a burger or appetizers. And a picture of the Stephanies, Kyle's work wife and I :)

We enjoyed an afternoon on a catamaran cruise and snorkeling which was my most favorite activity of the trip. There was always something fun to do, the last pictures are of a game the guys participated in, too much to explain, you'll have to ask us sometime!

Haven't blogged in sooooo long! Sorry we have been busy. In August we competed at the fair and had to say goodbye to Rusty and Shadow, which was not easy!! Yes there were tears, by all of us!! Kaleb continues to ask if we can pray for Shadow, "that she is having a good time where she's at!" The night before she was sold he told me "I prayed all night that Shadow wouldn't get cut up in to pieces!" Ah, broke my heart! Beccy and I thought the saddest part was that they wouldn't be together anymore!! They were like sisters, always looking for each other and wanting to be where the other was at! Some last pictures with the heifers!

And finally......Our trip to KC to take in a Royals game (it was fun run so the kids got to actually go on the field and run the bases) and celebrate Kaleb's birthday at Fritz's. It is a cool little restaurant that brings your order out by a little train, fun stuff.

I got a lot of catching up to do for the summer! The month of July is very busy for us. We celebrated Kaleb's 7th birthday and Kolt's 1st birthday this month as well as Kyle and I's 10th anniversary! Can't believe any of us are as old as we are! Kaleb is really in to dinosaurs so he chose a volcano cake which Grandma Becker constructed and Kolt loves any kind of ball so we did a baseball cake for him. Kaleb's cake even smoked, compliments of some dry ice. We all had a good time!

We have been entirely too busy, youth soccer, fishing, track meet, running, the list could go on as I am sure it could for you as well!! It is that time of year, the school year starts winding down and coming to a close, so the new summer activities can start. I don't talk much about my job, but I do enjoy it. Sure it is stressful at times, but it feels good to know that I am making a difference. I am lucky and so thankful to have the job I have and be able to spend summers and breaks at home with my own children. I am ready to be at home with them. Only 22 days until school is out, wahoo!! Happy Teacher Appreciation to all my teacher friends!

3V3 soccer Kyson was finally old enough to play!! Kaleb played with Matigan on his team!

We enjoyed a visit from Aunt Laurel and Uncle Taylor, who also ran the 1/2 marathon with us, yes I did finish and beat my goal, I just never got around to blogging about it!

It was fun, we had great weather! A couple weeks later I ran in a 5K women's race in Hesston with some friends and had a good time! Next race for us is Boulder Bolder on Memorial Day. We are going to make a weekend vacation of it. I can't wait!

The evening of the 1/2 marathon we drove to KC to visit Kyle's old college/basketball buddies. Here are all of the kids so far...CJ and Nicole are expecting another in a few weeks!! Matt and Kathy flew in from Florida and we got to meet there little one for the first time. It was nice to catch up and the kids had a good time playing thanks to CJ and Nicole for hosting at their new house!

Beautiful day what do you do? Go fishing with papa and grandma B.!! No luck with fish, but Kaleb took home a huge bull frog tadpole that his kindergarten class is enjoying watch develop! The pond was like a mirror, so neat! Reminds me of George Strait's song "I Saw God Today." Truly one of his works, I read a book about how God communicates with you even in his creations, this was one of his moments with me.

Eisenhower 1/2 Marathon

The Eisenhower 1/2 marathon is finally here!!! Rebecca, Laurel & Taylor, Kyle's cousin Adrianne, and I will be taking on the 1/2 tomorrow morning at 7:00 am. If you are going to be around, come cheer us on!! Kyle and his Aunt Carol are going to run the 5K, it starts at 7:30. The weather looks like it's going to be beautiful!!! You never know this time of year, past years it has rained, been cold, and windy! After the race we are going to enjoy brunch at Kyle's parents house, should be delicious! In the evening we are headed to K.C. to meet up with some old college friends. It is going to be a long day!

Spring Break Pt. 2 and Easter

I know I totally was going to post more about Spring Break and never got around to doing it! Maybe that was because it snowed and it didn't feel like Spring Break!!! Of course the boys didn't care because they got to play in the snow.

Saturday night we had Kyle's parents over for dinner. We had pesto stuffed pork chops, spinach salad, cherry yum yum salad, grilled vegetables, and key lime pie. It was the first time for me to make a pie from scratch. It turned out okay, but I definitely have not mastered making my own crust!

The boys loved having Grandma help them dye Easter eggs. Grandma Becker also brought along ingredients to make resurrection cookies. Each ingredient is tied in with scripture, it was really neat and helped the kids focus on the true meaning of Easter.

We celebrated with the five of us on Easter morning, enjoyed church, and went to Grandpa and Grandma Duerksen's house for dinner.

Easter was a lot of fun, we had beautiful weather and got to have our egg hunt outside this year, it's usually too cold!! The boys had a good time and Kolt figured out that he had to put the egg in his basket, although he still tried to eat the grass.

Spring Break pt. 1

On Monday we tried our luck at flying kites. The boys have been begging to go for probably a year and finally we had the chance to go. It wasn't as easy as they thought it would be, but Kaleb had the hang of it by the end. Kyson thought the kites didn't work because they were to cheap! Ha, he is probably right! Kolt wasn't too happy, he likes to keep moving in his stroller. My pictures aren't that great, but what do you expect when you are trying to help two boys with kites and keep a baby content! Wish I were supermom!

On Tuesday the kids spent most of their day with Grandma D. playing outside in Manhattan waiting on their mothers to get their hair done. We had planned for them to play at the park and have a picnic, little did we know that winter was going to hang around the whole day, it was suppose to be mid 50s but didn't even make it to 50, brrrr! Beccy, and I and two of our friends,Kassi and Theresa tried out the American Academy of Cosmotology it was fun and we will be going back after our half marathon to get a massage and a pedi. That evening we hung around the house and watched movies. Kolt is scooting/crawling around the whole house. He loves to crawl to the back window and watch the big dogs outside along with Wrigley, puppy love!

Yesterday we decided to test our baking skills. I got a new issue of Family Fun magazine which had a recipe for Rainbow cupcakes that the boys wanted to make. They turned out better than I expected and the boys had fun helping make them, although Kaleb tuckered out, I don't think he will be the baker in his family! Kyson stuck right along with me the whole time. Kolt napped through most of it, which is good because it is a little time consuming.

I was so excited to meet you 10 years ago today, Uncle Kyle and I drove down and got to meet you in the Stillwater hospital. You were just precious and have grown into a handsome young man. I know I don't always do a good job of telling you, but I love you lots!!! Hope you have a great birthday and don't be using your phone to text any girls....you still have about 10 more birthdays before you can do that!

Love Love Love the gift my husband gave me for Valentine's Day. As usual, he gave it to me early. If you don't know Kyle he can't keep anything a secret or hold on to a present until the actual day. That means I get everything early, which is just fine for me! Love you Kyle, thanks for the special gift, and in case you are wondering, he got it at a cute little shop here in Abilene called Treasures by Tracine. The back side has their names and says, "A boy is a noise with dirt on it." My pictures don't do it justice!

Haven't updated in a while. I started back to work mid September and haven't had the time to keep up with my blog. Here are some things that have been going on at the Becker house.

Sporting some new clothes from Aunt Laurel and Uncle Taylor! Can't wait to see you on Thanksgiving! We will be headed to Chicago for Thanksgiving, hoping to see the parade and all of the Christmas displays!

Kyson has learned how to ride his bike without training wheels. We are so proud of him! He is ready for his birthday to be here so he can turn 4.

Growing, growing, growing...Kolt is growing so fast, he is already in 6-9 months clothes and he will only be 3 months tomorrow. He is learning how to giggle and use his hands to bat at toys. It has been fun having a baby again and the older boys are just as excited as I am when he does something new.

Our small group starting meeting again in September. This year we are having it at our house and the kids come too. It has worked out okay and they were able to enjoy the ice cream truck one Sunday night. Kyson and Kaleb always ask, is it going to be "kid's small group tonight?" They love having friends over.

Our first vegetable garden was fairly successful. The pumpkins turned orange a little bit too early, but some are still okay for Halloween. The boys were very excited to grow their own pumpkins. We also had tomatoes, zuchinni, lots of peppers, squash, onions, and watermelon. I am looking forward to planting again next year and making it bigger and better.

Kaleb lost his first tooth yesterday, with a little help from his dad. Kaleb bit into a pickle and then said I think my tooth is ready to come out. Kyle gave it a little yank and out it came. Yuck! That is definately not my thing, I hate it when kids show me their loose teeth at school. Now of course Kyson swears that he also has loose teeth and will not be convinced otherwise!

Summer Time

We have been so busy this summer that I haven't posted as often as I like. Here are some pictures of what we have done this summer!

Kaleb played T-ball much to his dismay! You had to be 6 by May 1st to play coach pitch and he didn't turn 6 until July! Kyle helped coach his team and they had fun together.

Kaleb and Kyson modeled (HA) in a western fashion show for Great Grandma Becker's Christian Womens Group! They were too cute!

We celebrated Kaleb's birthday on July 5th a day early in case the baby decided to come, Kaleb was glad he didn't have to share his birthday with Kolt.

On July 9th we welcomed the new Becker boy, Kolt Brady! He is doing well and is a good little baby! I have two very big brothers who like to help and hold!

Finally we have finished our summer with fair. Kaleb had a bucket calf with the help of Grandpa and Grandma and Kris and Beccy. They all filled in and helped alot since I was busy with a new baby! Thanks guys! Kaleb also had a rocket that he showed. He is a Cloverbud and received participation ribbons for his projects. He is looking forward to next year already! Kyson was a good little helper and liked telling Kaleb what he needed to do with his calf!

The 4th

Hey all hope you had a great 4th of July, I can't believe we are already half way through the summer! We shot of some little fireworks at our house! Both boys wanted to light their own, scary!

Then we headed of to some friends house to watch the city fireworks!

Kyson liked the sparklers! I don't know how many he did? He had some great friends who were willing to share their fireworks!

We had an added guest at our party, a slithering snake! This was Kaleb's highlight of the night as he got to hold the snake. Sorry, it unfortunately did not induce labor! HA! But we will keep you posted!

Weekend Trip

Gosh I haven't been on here for quite a while! Just thought I would post some pictures from the weekend trip we took to K.C., which was earlier in May. We went with our friends Erin and Brad Signer and their son Kellen. It was nice to get away and we had beautiful weather. We went to a Royals game, ate at the T-Rex restaurant, and spent some time shopping. We spent some time before the game with Kyle's Aunt Carol and Uncle Sam, they have half season tickets and tailgate before the game, the boys thought that was fun! Uncle Sam always keeps things interesting!! The newly redone stadium had lots of things for kids to do. The boys really liked hitting and running the bases in the "Little K". They also had batting cages, miniature golf, etc... and it now makes a full circle around the stadium, it was great! Kyson kept the peanut man on his toes as he thought the guy just handed them out for free, so every time he walked by Kyson held up his hand or yelled at him and Kyle and I would have to shake our heads no.

Field Day

We got so lucky today to have great weather for Field Day! I don't remember it every being this nice!! We are usually out there in the drizzle or the freezing cold! Kaleb had a great time and I have to say that it is good he showed some competiveness being his parents are probably the most competitive people in the world, especially if we are playing each other! It was a fun day, Kyle took off in the morning and got to stay for all of it and brought Kyson along to watch. Kyson was excited to go to Kaleb's school!

4-H Bucket Calves

We have recently added some new animals to our family...two bucket calves, Rusty and Shadow have added some extra work and excitement to our lives! They calves weren't quite as excited as we were to get them. As you can see it has taken a lot of time and work to get them to eat from a bottle and get them use to being around us. Shadow has been the most challenging but she is finally drinking from a pail, Kyle, Dad, Kris, Mom, and Beccy all had rounds with her, they all made off with just a few bruises and only one bitten finger!

Kaleb and Matigan are 4-H Cloverbuds (not old enough for 4-H yet) but they can choose one project for the fair. Elliott is in 4-H and has shown so much responsibility in taking care of the calves. He does everything without complaining (except when he gets cow poop on his school shoes) HA!

Thanks to our dad's help, the kids are learning all about how to take care of calves. It is great to see how proud he is and how much he enjoys teaching the kids about his past time. He is still just an old farm boy. I appreciate living so close to my parents so that we can have these experiences. We love you so much dad!

Spring Program

Kaleb had his Spring program last night and did a great job singing and playing the woodblock. We are so lucky to have such a great music program in our district. Our music teacher does so many neat things at such a young age!

Spring Break pt.1

Our Spring Break was very relaxed and enjoyable! We spent most of it outside jumping on the trampoline, playing in our dirt hill, and playing with Matigan and Elliott. We also took a trip to Hays to the Sternberg Museum. I will post some more picks of that later Kaleb loved Hays as he loves learning and reciting facts that he knows about dinosaurs. Kyson wasn't too sure about the robotic models, he was still a little bit scared. I wish the weather we had that week would come back!

Jump, Jump

The boys finally saved up enough of their money to purchase a trampoline with a little help from us! They love it and are constantly asking if friends can come over and jump. We are excited to get to be able to use it more as the weather gets nicer. We are hoping for a nice warm Spring Break! I had my specialized sonogram yesterday and received the best news ever!! No cysts on the brain and a normal bowel for our little boy! I can't even begin to thank all of you for your prayers and help, but most of all give praise to our awesome God! He's probably tired of hearing me thanking him, I don't think I have stopped since finding out the news.

I feel so relieved and happy and blessed and free to buy cute little outfits I see or save up on diapers! It is really hard to explain the feelings you go through when you think you are going to lose a baby. I was so afraid to let myself become attached to the baby, because I didn't know how I was going to let him go if I had to, afraid to buy anything because I would be stuck with it and no baby, afraid that I would have to explain to my boys where our baby brother went. It is truly one of the worst times I have been through and I can't imagine being in others shoes who do have to face these situations, but do not know the Lord, my heart breaks. I am so thankful for the healthy children that I have and will not take them for granted, I am so very lucky. I am also grateful to have great friends who faced similar situations and could relate to the way I felt and always listened to me and reassuring me that God was in control.
Psalm 139 was a great comfort to me.

So thanks to all of you who have been praying, helping, and cooking meals it has meant so much! Sorry this was long and kind of random, but I had a lot to let go!

Update

Since posting we have heard some disheartening news and ask for prayers from all of you. After the doctor reviewed my sonogram, they found a cyst on the brain of our little one. We don't know much about it, but are very scared. I am a firm believer in prayer and know that it is in God's hand. Please say an extra prayer for our little one and us. I will have another sonogram next week to further look at what's going on.

It's A Boy!!

Yesterday I had my fifthsonogram, I can officially say that I am becoming a sonogram pro! HA! As some of you know I really went back and forth about finding out the sex of the baby, but after all we have been through I just really wanted to know, so.......It's another baby boy for us and I couldn't be happier! Yes I will miss the bows and dresses, but all I care about is that this baby boy is healthy and makes it through the pregnancy okay. I can't thank our good Lord enough that things looked a little bit better again and pray that the next time maybe the spot will be totally gone. I also want to thank my family and my friends for keeping us in their prayers, making meals, cleaning my house, and helping out with the boys. The boys were ecstatic that they were having another brother, that's what they both wanted. They do need some help on picking out names, as potential names from them were a little scarey...Kyson wanted to name him horsey or Buncky (which is his imaginary horse's name.) Kaleb thought that Buddy Clause would make a good name, if you haven't seen The Santa Clause 3 movie, they name their baby this in it. Anyways, that's our latest news!

Super Bowl

We had our bible study group over for the Super Bowl and had a great time. The kids got along very well, we enjoyed great food (Every dessert involved peanut butter and chocolate, who can beat that!), and had fun watching the game and chatting with some dear friends.

Food Swap Month 1

I participated in my first food swap Tuesday night and I have to say that I am so appreciative of this right now since I am suppose to be staying off my feet. My husband was very helpful in making our pizza casserole to swap. Our kitchen was a bit crowded Sunday afternoon, but was an easy clean up! We got so many delicious meals to try. Last night we tried my sister's stromboli and it was great!

Lady Bella

We got a new puppy over the weekend and we absolutely love her, when she is being good, ha! She is a blue weimaraner and is adorable. The boys were very excited to get her as we had to put one of our weimars to sleep last week. So we got up bright and early Saturday morning and drove to Smith Center to pick her out. So far, she has been very calm, hope this continues! We decided to call her Bella, although Kyson wanted to call her Remy (our old dog's name) and Kaleb had his heart set on Fergie, sorry Kaleb! Kyle was not having a hunting dog name Fergie!

Rock Chalk Jayhawk

We spent our evening in front of the television watching the "Sunflower Showdown" and teaching our boys how awesome KU basketball is. My siblings and I can recall many nights watching the Hawks with our dad, who has been an avid KU fan all of his life. We did get one thing through their heads, as Kyson announced during the game "When I grow up I'm going to play basketball for the Jayhawks!" Right on little bug, we hope you do!

Yesterday was our first "big" snow of the season. The kids couldn't wait to get home from school and play in the snow. We were all hoping for a snow day!! I watched Beccy and Kris' kids so they could do some Christmas shopping, so they got to play with Kaleb and Kyson.

Matigan had to eat some snow of course!

As some of you may already know, Reese is our daycare provider's (Marge Green) granddaughter who has recently been diagnosed with ALL- acute lymphocytic leukemia, at only 4 months old. The Green's are a wonderful family and we absolutely love Marge as she has taken great care of Kaleb and Kyson since they were babies! Kyle and I grew up and went to school with Marge's kids and my heart goes out to Tony and Kelly as they face a struggle that no parent wants to go through. I admire how strong and positive they have stayed throughout Reese's treatments and hospitalizations. In light of the situation I find myself asking what can I do to help? So...I decided to post the website to Reese's caring bridge page which is found at the bottom of the picture I posted. She also has a fundraising project where you can order a "Rally for Reese" bracelet at http://reeseerlainfoundation.org/contact.aspx For those of you who live in Abilene, the bracelets are also available at Treasures by Tracine. I think that was a song right?? You never know, my sister and I have this great talent of totally butchering song lyrics! Anyhow we spent some time in the leaves and I thought I would share some pictures with you. Grandpa Becker's yard is always full of leaves during the fall. He will spend an evening mowing and picking up the leaves and the next day I think they are just as bad! He left the boys their pile for a couple of days of fun. Thanks Grandpa!

I got to help with Kaleb's class party at school. It was fun and very active being that 10 of the 13 kids are boys!! Kaleb chose frankenstein pops from the Paula Dean magazine, so I spent my Thursday night making them along with my mother's help, Thanks Mom!

Beccy and I decided to make the kids a spooky supper our menu was spaghetti brains, dog bone breadsticks, candy corn pizza, witch's teeth corn, and for dessert witch's hats, pudding eyeballs, and marshmallow frankensteins left over from Kaleb's party. The kids thought it was great!

We had a great time trick or treating after the kids finally stopped arguing about whose turn it was to ring the doorbell.

I absolutely love this time of year! There are so many fun things to do. We spent Friday in Manahattan at their Homecoming celebration and went "Trick or Treating" in Aggeville, it was a blast! On Saturday we had Sub-state vollebyall, we finished as runner-up unfortunately, but the girls played well. I also ran into two of my old friends that I had not seen or talked to in a few years and they were both pregnant! One with twins! On Sunday we had a cook out for our Church Small Group, it was very cold and windy! But oh so fun!

Today is Kyle's birthday and also his mother's! What a great birthday present, she's been paying for it ever since, HA! Pam surprised him with a cake this morning at work! She makes the absolute best cake, in fact, she also made our wedding cake. This is a hobby of hers that she is really good at. On the cake she wrote Happy Birthday to the "Golden Child's" Brother. It's an inside family joke! Kyle is always complaining that his sister is the golden child. Hope you two have a great birthday! Kyle and I are going with some friends to a concert in Manhattan and his mother and sister are off to New York to celebrate, hope you guys have fun!!

So last night, I decided that it was time for a change, as many of you have already seen me today. I decided to go darker because I needed to cover up some grays and my hair had really faded since I last had it done. Being that we are now on a "budget" I was not willing to spend $70 to get my hair dyed at the salon and did it myself last night. So here's a before and after, my husband of course like me best as a blonde!

Just thought I would post a picture of our Weimar-baby Ruger. We had a litter of puppies the year before last in the fall and it was quite the experience as many of you have heard and shared a part in taking care of 8 puppies! My husband wants to give it another try, but I don't think I'm looking forward to bottle-feeding 8 puppies every 4 hours. I do miss how cute they are though! They boys loved holding them and taking care of them. As you can see Ruger definitely isn't a baby anymore! Kyson tries to ride him like a horse! Our other Weimar is Remmy, she is 4 yrs., we've had her since Kaleb was a baby, she is very protective!

I didn't do a very good job keeping up my blog this summer. Some of this is due to us getting rid of the internet at home. Yes, you can survive without it!! Yesterday was my dad's 66th (sorry dad) birthday! Just kidding, we love you very much! I hope you had a great birthday, you deserve it! We him out to eat at La Fiesta a little Mexican restaurant here in town and then went back to his house for some chocolate cake which Kyson helped make. He had to put the sprinkles on which we had to buy from the store because he opened the jar in the store. Ha! Kyson and Kaleb both had to help Pa-pa blow out the candles and each had 2 pieces of cake! I know, my grocery bills are just beginning. Until next time!

Hello all, hope everyone is doing well. I seemed to have missed my February post, even though I had promised to do one a month. I have just been too busy. My life lately has revolved around teaching, coaching, taking care of the boys, and finding sometime in there for Kyle! I have been enjoying coaching a 14s travel volleyball team for the last month or so. The girls are so fun, I forgot how much I missed be around that age! They are doing well, we have taken 3rd and 5th at a couple of tournaments. This weekend will be our last and hopefully we can win the whole thing! It will be nice to have my weekends back!

The boys are keeping us busy as ever! I of course have several stories that I could share, but won't torture you with all of them. The latest incidents would have to be Kyson taking Spiderman "swimming" in the toilet, yuck!! He also discovered my favorite lipstick and demolished it, see above picture, he was very proud of himself! Kaleb has his mind on playing sports and can't wait for soccer to start again. I think he is ready for me to be home for summer break, as the other day he told me, "Mommy maybe you could just get fired, and then you could stay at home with me all the time!" I had to laugh.

Kyle has adjusted well to his new position as Sales Manager at Green Ford. They had a very successful sale last month, which left him feeling very proud of himself. He works so hard, it is nice to see him rewarded for all the hours he puts in!

Christmas Break

Oh what a break we've had, although I don't know that I would call it a break! The boys broke lots of things, does that count?? At least I can say it has never been boring! I have to say that I officially lost count of how many things were broken over break! I do know that I am 3 Christmas dishes short. And there was the time that Kaleb and Kyson decided to go "bowling" using my Christmas tree bulbs! At the time it wasn't funny, but now that I look back it is pretty humerous. They also discovered that the could jump off of many things and land safely including Kaleb's very tall bed. They both got remote controlled helicopters from Grandpa Becker, so far they haven't crashed into too many things!! I think Kyle enjoys playing with them more than the kids, see above picture. One of the funniest moments of Christmas was when we were shopping with my mom and Beccy and Kyson expressed " I hate that Target!" Out of the clear blue he said it, we all rolled laughing, now of course he says it all time! You never know what's going to come out of his mouth! We celebrated his 2nd birthday on December 7th. Kaleb continues to have a very soft heart. We recently "adopted" a neighborhood cat , much to Kyle's dismay, and Kaleb has to check it first thing in the morning and when he gets home from the sitters.
We were very blessed to be able to spend Christmas with both families and extended families.

We also hosted Christmas at our house for the first time. For those of you who didn't know we added on to our house this summer, so it was great to have the added space to be able to have people over.

Kyle started a new position the first of the year. He is now the Sales Manager at Green Ford here in Abilene. He has been looking forward to moving up for some time now, and is very excited to be starting a new chapter in his life. So if any of you need a new car, let him know, he is very good at finding whatever you want!

I continue to teach Special Education. I am very lucky to have an easy caseload this year that significantly decreased from last year. I am in charge of the self-contained classroom which educates more severe students. I am also coaching a travel vollebyall team for 14s during the next few months.

Hello, from a crazy week in Kansas!! Tuesday a huge ice storm hit Kansas covering our homes, trees, and neighborhoods with ice. Thankfully, we have had power most of the time with the exception of about 12 hours. We have not had school for the last 4 days. My parents and my sister Beccy and her family have been without power since early Tuesday morning and it doesn't sound like they will be getting it anytime soon. My dad and mom have a generator, but it has quit working, soooo......They along with Beccy and her husband and 2 kids have been staying with us the last few days. Thankfully the kids are getting along, most of the time, and we aren't driving each other crazy! Kyle was happy to have the excuse to go and get a new "man tool!" The pictures are of him, my dad, and our neighbor trying to clean up and trim some branches before more fell on the roof. Others are just of the neighborhood and the numerous limbs we lost. I think we will have to cut two of our trees down when it's all said and done, but we are so thankful to have power and that none of them did any real damage to our house. My sister and parents also had several limbs down in there yards. We have had to move things back and forth and try to salvage as much food from their freezers as we can. We are suppose to get 6-8 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow, but at least it is not ice!!! Keeping our fingers crossed no more power outages. Til next time! Stay safe and warm!

It's About Time

So I am finally back on.... Yes I promised to post zoo pictures but that was like 8 months ago, sorry! Our lives have been pretty hectic lately. I recently finished coaching volleyball and am now moving on to the next activity...the church Christmas program! The boys are growing fast like everyone warns they will! It is all I can do some days to keep up with them. Kyson dumped the dogs water bowl 3 times today and also soaked Grandma's refrigerator door trying to get a drink "all by myself!" He is finally totally potty trained, and he is not even two yet, yeah! Kaleb is doing well in preschool. He is learning how to write his name. This fall he has learned how to ride his bike without training wheels. Kyle has been busy working hard trying to support his family. Here are some pictures from the last few months. In September we flew to Chicago for a friends wedding and got to spend time with Kyle's sister Laurel who lives there. It was a very fun time and nice to get away. Hope this finds all of you well!

What a nice relief it was to wake up and not have to go to work today!! I am thoroughly enjoying my time at home with the boys this week. We've played soccer, Scooby-Doo X-box, made blue (Kaleb's favorite color) jello-beans and peach. Wow, maybe I'd actually be a great cook if I could stay home all the time!! We are headed to the Omaha Zoo on Thursday with our life group from church, should be pretty interesting!! I will have to add our pictures in, we are hoping it doesn't rain! Til next time.
